Malibu Shred Time Ullswater - Event Information

For the last 2 years we have worked closely with the epic crew at Malibu Boats UK to create the Shred Time Surf Comps. We have had some epic vibes, amazing weather, huge wakes, a ton of good times and high-class surfing! For 2025 our Malibu event is shifting a few miles North to Ullswater.

This incredible location is home to Ullswater Wake & Surf and their epic crew of shredders and surfers. The lake is stunning, and the onsite facilities mean we can take this event to the next level! There is onsite accommodation and catering and a banging party venue in Pooley Bridge less than a mile away.

It is less than an hour drive from Lake Windermere if you want to day trip it, or create a weekend away and book accommodation locally. You can even bring your own boat if you want! There will be tons of opportunities to surf all weekend via Ullswater Wake & Surf’s school boat, practice sessions on the Malibu tow boat and their demo boats.

There will be some limited practice available early Sunday morning, the majority of practice is all day Saturday. It is 1 practice session per person.

Accommodation

Super Important – Book ASAP

There is plenty of accommodation, but you will need to book it ASAP to avoid disappointment. We recommend the following:

Waterside Campsite

This is the actual site of the surf comp and base for Ullswater Wake and Surf. If you stay here, you will be a stones throw from the Surf Comp. There is camping available and also some clambing pods, etc

Park Foot Holiday Park

This holiday park is right next door Ullswater Wake & Surf and the Surf Comps location. Less than a half mile walk away! You can camp and there is plenty of self-catering accommodation too.

Pooley Bridge

The village of Pooley Bridge is less than 1 miles away and there are plenty of accommodation options here, just check out AirBnB or Google search, etc

Bring Your Own Boat

You can bring your own boat to Ullswater if you want. No boat registration is required, there is a 10mph speed limit, so its wake surfing and foiling only! There are jetties at both Park Foot Holiday Park and Waterside Campsite. We suggest you contact Dale and his team at Ullswater Wake & Surf if you want to bring your own boat and they will offer you the best advise and explain where to launch and moor etc.
